Stock trading with a day job was created out of a practical need to trade the market while working a day job which prevents us from managing our trades during the typical work day. Our program is a combination of free educational blogs and education, as well as a paid membership alert service which offers trade alerts  which implement the trade rules we have designed. Our Nightly alert updates will allow you to setup your trades for the next day and allow you to not have to follow the market during the trading day. We have one primary trade which involves:

1 – Swing trading a major ETF – entering at the low point of a price cycle, and then setting profit and stop loss points and ratcheting them up as the ETF moves up (or stopping out when it goes down). Typical trade duration could be days to months depending on trends. Our system rules were developed over a number of years and have proved profitable when executed over the last 10 years. They were also born out of the desire to reduce our need to “watch the market” and get emotionally involved during the trading day.

The amount you allocate to each of these trades is up to you. You must define your own risk tolerances as we cannot not recommend amounts to invest as the SEC is very strict about what you can and cannot do with any membership and recommendation services. After having traded many different stock and option strategies over the past 20 years, we have decided to share our knowledge and experience about trading especially for the trader who has a day job. At Stocktradingwithadayjob we strive to keep things simple. No Complex stock and options trading strategies. We just focus on easy to learn strategies that take advantage of primary market trend and capitalize on them. We also stress a solid understanding of risk management as the underpinning of successful trading. Our trades are structured so that you can put in orders the night before and not have to watch the market during the day and focus on your day job while you let your money work for you and not the other way around.
